Jewellery care
1. General provisions:
These instructions set out how jewellery should be stored, cared for and worn in order to preserve its appearance and durability.
Jewellery is delicate and needs proper care and careful use.
2. Storage:
Keep jewellery in a dry, clean place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
We recommend keeping each piece separately, in a soft pouch or a jewellery box.
Do not let pieces touch one another, to avoid scratches.
Do not keep jewellery in rooms with high humidity (for example, a bathroom).
Protect it from dust, knocks and changes of temperature.
3. Always take jewellery off before:
showering, bathing, or swimming in a pool or open water;
exercising;
lifting heavy weights;
physical or household work;
using household chemicals;
using cosmetics, creams, perfume or hair care products;
going to sleep.
IMPORTANT! Contact with chemicals, sweat or water, and knocks, can damage the surface of a piece or its stones.
4. Care and cleaning:
Clean with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp.
If needed, use warm water and mild soap.
Clean gently, without pressing hard.
Dry the piece thoroughly after cleaning.
Do not use:
aggressive chemicals;
abrasive cleaners;
ultrasonic cleaners (if the piece has zirconia or glued elements);
products containing chlorine or alcohol.
5. Care of jewellery with zirconia stones:
Jewellery with zirconia stones needs special care:
Avoid knocks and strong mechanical stress.
Stones may come loose through mechanical stress or natural wear.
Check the stone settings regularly.
Clean only gently, with a soft brush.
Keep separately from other pieces.
6. Care of rhodium-plated and gold-plated jewellery:
Rhodium-plated and gold-plated pieces are covered with a thin layer of rhodium or gold, which protects the piece from tarnishing. This layer wears naturally over time.
Good to know: the rhodium or gold layer can wear away because of:
everyday wear;
friction;
contact with the skin;
cosmetics or chemicals.
You should:
Avoid wearing the piece every day without a break.
Protect it from friction and knocks.
Keep it separately from other jewellery.
Clean it only with a soft cloth.
Wear of the rhodium layer is a natural process, and the layer can be renewed by a jeweller if needed.
7. Care and use of gold jewellery and jewellery with gemstones:
Gold is a precious but relatively soft metal, so it can be damaged by mechanical stress. Gemstones, although durable, can also be damaged or come loose through improper use or care.
8. Check regularly:
the stone settings;
the condition of clasps;
the general condition of the piece.
If you notice any damage, stop wearing the piece and consult a jeweller.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
The Seller is not liable for damage to jewellery caused by:
improper use or care (cleaning with unsuitable products, use of abrasives, unsuitable or too frequent cleaning);
mechanical damage (knocks, drops, pressure, stretching, deformation, wearing during physical work, sport or lifting heavy weights);
contact with chemicals (household cleaning products, cosmetics, perfume, hair care products, chlorinated or salt water, disinfectants, sweat);
contact with water, cosmetics or household products (including showering, bathing, swimming in a pool, sauna, the sea or other water, and cosmetics such as creams, lotions and make-up);
natural wear (loss of surface shine, scratches that appear in use, wear of rhodium, gilding or other plating, changes in the colour of the metal from contact with the skin or the environment);
loss of zirconia or other stones through mechanical stress or wear (stones falling out after a knock, stones coming loose through wear, stones damaged by impact);
improper storage or use (wearing the piece other than as intended, using a piece that is too small or too large so that it deforms, misusing the clasp or applying force);
repair or alteration by third parties (repairs, changes or corrections not made by the maker or an authorised specialist, resizing, changes to the construction).
IMPORTANT! The maker and/or the seller is not liable for damage to jewellery caused by natural wear, mechanical, chemical or physical effects, improper use, improper care or storage, or repair or alteration by third parties. Natural wear of plating, changes to the surface or loss of stones through use are not manufacturing defects.
